Mary E. Watkins Scholarship
NOTE: To apply for this scholarship, please complete all of the components of the (1) General Application and then (2) the High School Senior Student Application. Meeting the eligibility criteria and submitting all required components/fields on the High School Senior Student Application will automatically move an applicant into the Mary E. Watkins Scholarship applicant pool.
- Applicants must be a graduating senior from Bennington High School (Oklahoma).
- Unweighted GPA greater than or equal to 3.0.
- Must attend an accredited college or university in the state of Oklahoma; preference for students attending Oklahoma State University, and/or for graduating high school females.
- Financial need will be considered.
The Mary E. Watkins Scholarship is a one-time award. Funds may be used for tuition, fees and book expenses. Payments are made directly to the school. No more than six credit hours may be completed online each semester.
The Mary E. Watkins Scholarship Fund was established as an endowed scholarship fund in 2016 by her son, U.S. Congressman, Wes Watkins. The Mary E. Watkins Scholarship encourages graduating seniors from Bennington High School, Bryan County Oklahoma, pursue post-secondary education degree programs at an accredited college or university in the state of Oklahoma offering a two-year or a four-year curriculum.
