Robert V. and Ruby Mae Smith Memorial Scholarship
- Graduating seniors of one of the following Oklahoma City area high schools with a GPA ≥ 3.0: John Marshall, Oklahoma Centennial, Harding Charter Prep, Northeast, Douglass or Millwood.
- Unweighted GPA greater than or equal to 3.0.
- Preference may be given to students pursuing a career in medical technology.
Financial need may be considered in the event of a tie.
Funds may be used for educational related expenses such as tuition, fees and books at any academically accredited two-year, four-year or vocational technical nonprofit institution in the United States. Payments are made directly to the school. No more than six credit hours may be completed online each semester.
The Robert V. Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1999 by Mr. Smith’s family in honor of his long career with the U.S. Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Oklahoma City. Robert passed in 1997 after a long career with the U.S. Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Oklahoma City. In 2016, Ruby was added to the name of the scholarship by her son as a tribute to both parents.
