Flavious Richardson Scholarship

NOTE: To apply for this scholarship, please complete all of the components of the (1) General Application and then the (2) High School Senior Student Application. Meeting the eligibility criteria and submitting all required components/fields on the High School Senior Student Application will automatically move an applicant into the Flavious Richardson Scholarship applicant pool.


  • Eligible applicants must be a graduating high school senior Hobart High School.
  • Applicants must have attended Hobart High School for two or more years.
  • Applicants need to be able to demonstrate a commitment to community service and the ability to work within a group or as a member of a team.

The Flavious Richardson Scholarship is a one-time award; recipients of this scholarship are invited to reapply and compete with the high school senior students. One recipient may not receive the award more than 4 times.

The scholarship award is for undergraduate studies. The award may be used for tuition, fees and books. Payments are made in two installments (fall and spring semester) each academic year directly to the student’s school after proof of enrollment has been provided to the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. Payments are issued in the following academic year.

The Flavious Richardson Scholarship was established in 2018 by Mr. Richardson’s former students from Hobart High School to honor him as an outstanding educator. This scholarship encourages graduating high school seniors from Hobart, OK to pursue a degree in higher education. This is an endowed fund of the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
