Catherine Connolly Champlin Buchwald Education Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Graduating Oklahoma high school seniors pursuing education OR current college students majoring in education
  • First preference to teacher education students for whom English is not their first language OR incoming or current teacher education students at the University of Oklahoma who have an emphasis in teaching English Language Learning.
  • Second preference to teacher education students for whom English is not their first language OR incoming or current teacher education students at the University of Central Oklahoma who have an emphasis in teaching English Language Learning.

Preference to students with financial need; however can be awarded to students who have received other scholarships

This is a renewable award. Funds may be used for tuition, fees and book expenses; payments are made directly to the school.

To honor her passion for English Language Learner education in the state of Oklahoma, the Catherine Connolly Champlin Buchwald Education Scholarship was established as an endowment at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation in 2019.
