P. B. Odom III Family Scholarship
- Applicants must either be (1) a graduating high school senior attending a high school in South Oklahoma City or Moore, Oklahoma or (2) residents ages 25 to 80 South Oklahoma City or Moore, Oklahoma (see geographical definition below).
- Unweighted GPA greater than or equal to 2.0 from most recently attended school.
- Applicants must plan to attend a vocational school, public college or public university in Oklahoma.
- Awards may be given to full-time and part-time students. Part-time recipients will receive a monetary award of that is half of a full-time recipient (per academic year).
Geographical area for eligible scholarship applications is defined as follows: beginning south of I-40, including Moore city limits, and following Oklahoma City limits to the south, west and east.
Recipient selection will include an allocation of high school seniors and non-traditional applications. Graduate students are not eligible to receive this award.
Applicants may reapply for the P. B. Odom III Family Scholarship for up to four years; an unweighted GPA greater than or equal to 2.75 is required to be considered for renewal. Previous recipients over the age of 45 may reapply.
Funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, equipment and/or supplies. Payments are made directly to the school. Recipients must attend an accredited, not-for-profit college, public university or vocational school within in the state of Oklahoma offering a two-year or a four-year curriculum.
The P. B. Odom III Family Scholarship fund was established in 2016 by Paul B. Odom III, Elizabeth L. Odom, David P. Odom and Rachel B. Odom. This fund is administered by the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
