John Blaess Memorial Scholarship


  • A graduating senior with eight semesters of enrollment at Edmond Memorial High School.
  • A GPA ≥ 3.0.
  • Must have a teacher’s nomination before receiving invitation to complete the application process.

Financial need is considered.

The scholarship can only be applied to a regional college or comprehensive university. For further information contact an Edmond Memorial High School guidance counselor.

The John Blaess Memorial Scholarship was established in 2003 by alumni of the 1984 graduating class to memorialize John Blaess. Active in sports and student government, John was president of his senior class. As an adult he was active in his church and scout master of a Boy Scout troop. The John Blaess Memorial Scholarship was established to encourage students to pursue education after high school and to honor Mr. Blaess’ commitment to his community.
