Elizabeth E. Carlson Scholarship


  • Putnam City Public Schools graduating seniors who plan to pursue a degree in education.
  • A high school GPA ≥ 3.0.

The award is $1,500 for freshman or sophomore enrollment or $3,000 for junior or senior enrollment. A collegiate GPA ≥ 3.0 is required for the reapplication process.

Financial need is considered.

The award may be used for tuition, fees and book expenses for full-time study at any academically accredited Oklahoma college. No more than six credit hours may be completed online each semester.

The Elizabeth E. Carlson Memorial Scholarship was established through a bequest from Miss Carlson, a retired teacher, as a way to encourage students to follow the career she loved. This is an endowed scholarship fund of the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
