John Meacham Fogg Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be a (1) college sophomore or junior admitted into a Nursing BS program at OUHSC or OCU (awards are distributed during the junior and/or senior years), OR (2) a practicing Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) pursuing an advanced degree in a nursing-related program.
- First preference will be given to Russell Murray Hospice employees going on to advance their nursing education. Second preference will be given to applicants with an employment background at a non-profit hospice agency.
The John Meacham Fogg Memorial Scholarship is a one-time award at this time. Funds may be used for educational-related expenses: tuition, fees and books. Payments are made directly to the school. Recipients must attend the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center or Oklahoma City University nursing schools. Payments are made directly to the student’s school after proof of enrollment has been provided to the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
The John Meacham Fogg Memorial Scholarship was established in 2017 by his mother, Billi Kaye Meacham. The John Meacham Fogg Memorial Scholarship encourages deserving nursing students to pursue advanced academic attainment in nursing. The John Meacham Fogg Memorial Scholarship is an endowed fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation.
