American Society of Landscape Architects Scholarship
Eligibility:
- A 3.0 GPA in all subjects; applicants must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours in landscape design/landscape architecture.
- Must be enrolled in a landscape design/architectural degree or certificate program in Oklahoma, including students from Oklahoma State University, University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University–OKC and Langston University.
Other Requirements for Application:
Submission of a landscape project is required for this scholarship.
Funds may be used for tuition, fees and book expenses; payments are made directly to the school.
In 2005, the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects established this permanent scholarship endowment fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation to acknowledge good student works in the field of landscape design and landscape architecture and to help assist students with their college costs. In 2019, the OKASLA added to the endowment to honor Steve Owenby, the state’s first licensed landscape architect, with a $2,000 scholarship in his name designated to an OSU student.

- Please submit a project in Landscape Design or Landscape Architecture. These may be created for the scholarship competition or may be projects submitted for academic coursework. The submitted project does not need to be a part of this year's work but should have been completed after the applicant has spent 12 credit hours in the curriculum. No group projects will be accepted. Photo/graphic presentations must be submitted by pdf, jpg, or png format.
