This scholarship is established to honor the memory of LN1 Kimberly Kay Clark, USNR (Kim). Kim lost her life in the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City. Kim was a Reservist in the United States Navy Judge Advocate General corps and worked full-time for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The purpose of the scholarship is to honor and preserve Kim’s memory by providing financial assistance to a drilling Naval Reservist pursuing a degree through an institution of higher education. A closely related purpose is to honor Kim’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Lee Clark, who adopted Kim when she was an infant. A permanent endowment fund was established at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation in 1995 and continues to receive contributions from individuals and organizations.
