Friends of Kim Jones-Shelton Scholarship


  • A graduating senior of a central Oklahoma high school with a GPA ≥ 3.5.
  • Must have financial need relating to a disability or challenging circumstance of the applicant or the applicant’s parent.
  • Preference is given to black female students.

Funds may be used for educational-related expenses such as tuition, fees, and books at any academically accredited two-year, four-year or vocational technical nonprofit institution in the United States. Payments are made directly to the school. No more than six credit hours may be completed online each semester.

The Friends of Kim Jones-Shelton scholarship was established by friends and family in 1999 to honor Kim’s service to the community.
