Nurse Education Program Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be a (1) college sophomore or junior in a Nursing BS program (awards are distributed during the junior and/or senior years), OR (2) a practicing Registered Nurse (RN) who is pursuing a bachelor degree in a nursing related degree program.
  • Must plan to register or be registered in a minimum of 6 credit hours at an accredited, non-profit college or university in Oklahoma. A total award of up to $2,000 would require full-time study.
  • Online coursework is accepted.

The Nurse Education Program Scholarship is an award of up to $2,000, and it can be used at any academically accredited public or independent/private, nonprofit educational institution in Oklahoma. Funds may be used for tuition, fees and book expenses; payments are made directly to the school and divided over two semesters.

Previous recipients of a Nurse Education Program Scholarship are eligible to reapply for up to four years total.

The Oklahoma City Community Foundation Trustees established the Nurse Education Program in 2003 to address the need for qualified nursing staff in area hospitals.
