Lawton Business Women Nell Franklin Scholarship Fund

Please note: If you have submitted the General Application and meet the requirements below, you will be automatically considered for this scholarship.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be graduating high school seniors from one of the three Lawton high schools.
  • Applicants must be female.
  • Unweighted GPA greater than or equal to 2.5.
  • Applicants must plan to attend Cameron University or Great Plains Technology Center in Lawton, OK.

The Lawton Business Women Nell Franklin Scholarship Fund is a one-time award; previous recipients may reapply for up to four years. Funds may be used for tuition, fees and book expenses. Payments are made directly to the school. No more than six credit hours may be completed online each semester.

The Lawton Business Women Nell Franklin Scholarship Fund was established in 2016 as an endowed fund at the Lawton Community Foundation. Longtime Lawton resident and Lawton Business Women’s Club (LBW) member Nell Franklin established the Lawton Business Women Nell Franklin Scholarship Fund through a planned gift to the LBW. The Lawton Business Women Nell Franklin Scholarship Fund was managed by the Lawton Business Women’s Past Presidents club before the fund moved to the Lawton Community Foundation. This scholarship encourages graduating high school females from Lawton High School to pursue an undergraduate degree at Cameron University or Great Plains Technology Center (Lawton Campus).
